Notes to Linux

My preferred OS is GNU/Linux - either on Desktop or on Servers. The following applies to OpenSUSE or Ubuntu which are the distributions I usually choose:

• Compile and install AusweisApp2 (in German), client for German ID cards
• Install and configure Citrix Receiver 13.10 on opensuse 15.0 and resolve issue with "file or directory not found"
• Mount /var/log into memory instead of disk and keep your file/directory structure after reboot. Read "Log files in tmpfs without breaking logging."
• How to build hiphop-php under openSUSE 11.3
• Install Samsung SCX-4300 manually without the installer of Unified Driver (openSUSE 11.4 to Leap 15.2 x86_64)
• Create and mount SD-card image files (for flashing later)
